Can I do color printing with this model?
The Smartech inkjet coding device is only suitable for single-color printing. You can use Black, Soft Yellow, and FG Red ink. Please specify which type of ink you require before ordering.
Which consumable will I use the most? How much ink and thinner does the device consume?
Firstly, consumable consumption varies depending on the font size used and the ambient temperature. With a 7x5 matrix font, you can print 90,000,000 characters per unit.
Ink consumption varies depending on the size and thickness of the print you are making. The most significant factor affecting thinner consumption is ambient temperature.
The Smartech inkjet coding device consumes 2ml/hour of slimming solution at 15 degrees Celsius, while at 25 degrees Celsius it consumes 6ml/hour. In short, these types of devices tend to consume more slimming solution during the summer months.
The machine I'm using consumes a lot of thinner. Is the Smartech CI8550 more economical in this regard?
As mentioned in the previous question, the most important factor in thinner consumption is ambient temperature.
